We are thrilled to welcome you to the Cowichan Clay Guild, a newly formed collective dedicated to the art and craft of pottery. Whether you're a seasoned ceramicist with decades of experience or a budding enthusiast just discovering the magic of clay, we're delighted to have you as part of our growing community.
Our organization was founded by a group of passionate clay artists who wanted to make a difference by building a strong clay community in the Cowichan Valley and beyond.
Our mission is to provide a platform for artists to showcase their work and connect with other creatives. We aim to promote diversity, creativity, and collaboration in the arts.
We plan to host a variety of events throughout the year, including art exhibitions, sales and workshops. Participation in our events are open to members and are a great way to get involved in the broader clay community.
Supporting us through membership allows our community to grow. At The CCG, we believe in the power of creativity and collaboration. Our organization welcomes artists from all backgrounds and skill levels. By joining us, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with fellow potters, participate in learning opportunities.
By becoming a member, you're not just gaining access to content – you're joining a community of lifelong learners. Our members get priority access to learning opportunities, as well as member's pricing on workshops.
Our annual guild show will be hosted at one of the local art galleries to showcase members work. Keep and eye on our events section for application and jury deadlines.
As a guild member, you'll receive a dedicated listing on our website, a valuable platform to showcase your talent to a wider audience. Your listing includes a profile that highlights your unique artistic style, a short bio or artist statement, and a link making it easy for people to connect with you.
